In the last season of the franchise' existence the Sarios Football Club won it's sixth consecutive and seventh overall WBAAFL Championship after defeating Sports Corner 42-0. Scott Hall spread out four TD passes to Kasey Fitzpatrick, Brandon Hall, Jeff Griepentrog and Rick Bury. The team was founded in 1988 and had it's first championship season in 1990 and then won it all again from 1999-2004. Club officials have now decided to go out on top and discontinue operations after the highly successful seventeen year run. Team founder Scott Hall would like to express his gratitude to the almost 120 players that have been with the club over the years.

Longtime QB, G.M. and Field General Scott Hall has announced that the 2004 season will be his last. Now in his 22nd season, Hall began play in the WBAAFL back in 1983 as a RB/DB with the Grand Larsony franchise. The team struggled at the quarterback position that year and Hall was asked to switch to that position for the '84 campaign. The team  finished mostly in the middle of the pack over the next four years, but then in 1988 Hall started a new franchise sponsored by ITT Financial Services and things started to look up. In 1990, after switching to new sponsor Accent Photography, the team won its first League Championship with a resounding win over the upstart Bagg End Barbarians. The franchise, later known as Sarios, finished in the top three every year after that and won the Championship the last six years they competed (1999-2004).

Sarios began the 2004 season with consecutive wins against Bagg End 42-12 and Hurricane Alley 35-28. Against Bagg End newly acquired Jason Woods scored on a 78 yard kickoff return and a 35 yard reception from Scott Hall. Hall also completed TD passes to Kasey Fitzpatrick, Tiny Waala, Jeremy Lambie and Brandon Hall. The team had a harder time in week two against a tough athletic Hurricane Alley team. Hall threw TD passes to Lambie (2), B. Hall (2) and Woods. Lambie also picked off two passes including one to end a score tying opportunity by the Canes with under a minute to go. Sarios lost Whitey Waala for the season in the first half when he had his hand mangled on a Canes player. Pete Heinen will also be out this week with staph infection and Jeremy Lambie is out indefinately with broken ribs after sustaining one of the hardest hits in recent memory against the Canes. G.M. Scott Hall was scouring the waiver wire when we went to press to find replacements for this weekends game against Stud Construction but so far his efforts have been in vain. See ya Saturday.

Sarios wins its fifth consecutive WBAAFL Championship after defeating Kewaskum three times in one week to finish with a 10-1 record. The team looks to sustain its recent domination next season by going for an unprecedented sixth championship in a row. Stay tuned.

The Sarios Football Club clinched its fourth consecutive West Bend Flag Football League championship last Saturday behind the outstanding blocking of Brian Glascz, Clint Holbrook and Chris Waala. After being down at halftime, the 'Hogs' took control in the second half giving favored Sarios the  victory 33-21. Jeremy Lambie rushed for 2 TD's and caught another to lead the scoring. Kasey Fitzpatrick and Brandon Hall had the other touchdown receptions for the victors. On defense Lambie led the way with two interceptions after the 'D' made some adjustments at the half. The team has now won championships in the 1990, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Sarios is now 6-0 after Saturdays drubbing of J.D. Sports. Jared Arn may be lost for the season after suffering a severe hamstring injury. G. M. Scott Hall  has activated DB Mike Meyers and T Gary Waala from the practice squad and is looking to pick-up WR/S Rob Stoltz off waivers for this weeks game. Stay tuned for further details.

Sarios takes its record to 5-0 after a 43-28 upending of the Kewaskum Woody's team. Brandon Hall led the way with 5 TD catches. Jeremy Lambie had the other touchdown on a 56yd. punt return. Sarios looks to extend its unbeaten streak to 16 games next week against J.D. Sports.

Sarios extends their string of West Bend Athletic Association Football League Championships to three with a 49-22 trouncing of the Bagg End Barbarians. The Sarios defense set the tone early when Safety Rob Stoltz intercepted QB John Julson on a pass over the middle. Sarios then had to punt after stupified QB Scott Hall forgot to wear flags onto the field. Bagg End capitalized with a Julson to Jeff Wyczinski TD pass. After the ensuing kickoff, Hall hit cousin and WR Brandon Hall with a 45 yard TD pass and after Kicker Jeremy "Silence of the" Lambie had a rare miss on the PAT attempt, Bagg End led 7-6. Sarios erupted in the second quarter with 29 points, the first on a long Hall to Stoltz TD pass. Hall threw to Chris "Tiny" Waala for the two pt. conversion as Sarios went up 14-7. The lead was not to be relinquished. On the next Bagg End drive Jeff Wyczinski kicked a 32 yard field goal to make the score 14-10. Shortly thereafter, Hall hit Stoltz again for a TD to make the score 21-10 after a Lambie conversion. Dave "Whitey" Waala then intercepted Julson again to set-up a 28 yard TD run by Rick "Scrap Iron" Bury and after another Lambie PAT the score was 28-10. The next Bagg End drive ended with a Lambie interception and led to an 11 yard Hall to Bury TD pass and finished out the scoring of the first half. The second half started out much the same way as Lambie returned the kickoff 70 yards for the score to put Sarios up 42-10. Bagg End answered with a Julson to Robbie Weinfurter TD pass. Wyczinski's PAT attempt failed and the score was now 42-16. On the next play from scrimmage Hall hit Lambie with a 57 yard strike to bring the score to 49-16. The following drive seemed to last forever and Bagg End eventually finished the scoring with a 7 yard pass from Julson to Jim Marx. Bagg End's try for a 2 pt. conversion failed, making the final tally Sarios 49, Bagg End 22. Game MVP honors went to Lambie who had a kickoff return for one TD, a pass reception for another and also intercepted a pass. Sarios has now won four League championships (1990, 1999, 2000 & 2001) and looks to win their fourth consecutive in the 2002 season. Post-game MVP was Chris Chlupp who did no less than 12 "barrelstands". According to the remaining drunks at the party (who stayed until 6am) team "Rookie of the Year" honors went to Joe Smidel and "MVP" to Slinging Scotty Hall who threw for 56 touchdowns and 1 interception for the season. Jeremy Lambie was "Defensive Player of the Year" after intecepting 15 passes on the season. Tom "Petty" Peterson was named "Special Teams Player of the Year" as well as being the recipient of the coveted "take out my teammate" award for his fine work on Mike "Erv" Waala's nose.
